Reviewing a battery that you have just bought is a little like reviewing a meal BEFORE you've eaten it. However, as a repeat customer, I based my recent purchase of two Maxon MX12-135XHD 135Ah deep cycle batteries on the performance of my last Battery Central purchase.
I did a discharge test on our Maxon MXEG12-75 75Ah battery, which has been used for intermittent camping for 7 years. It delivered 3.76A (20h rate) for an impressive 19h 23m until I cut off the test at 11.0V (10.8V min. allowed). This is 72.9Ah or 97% of stated capacity. Enough to reassure me of using the brand again.

I called Cathy in the morning after needing to jump-start my car, and she made sure there were suitable batteries in stock. When I arrived, Nathan answered all my questions, pointed me towards the right battery and even considered the warranty implications for my car.
I pulled into the bay and the job was done in 10 minutes. Old battery tested, new battery installed, alternator tested and still cheaper than anywhere else I’d checked.
I’ll definitely be sending friends and family here when they need a battery replacement. Hope you get that MG7, Nathan!

Good service, just not a fan of centery batteries as I got 15 centery batteries for 2 golf cart July 2025 4 failed after just over 12 months ,would not replace them
